Massive, well-differentiated liposarcoma of the axilla.
We present a case of well-differentiated liposarcoma (WDL) involving the right proximal arm and axilla in a 66-year-old Filipino male. The patient first noticed the lesion 18 years ago, and it subsequently slowly progressed in size. MR and CT imaging interpreted the lesion as likely being a WDL, a diagnosis that was confirmed by histology.

We describe a case of mixed liposarcoma of the axilla presenting as a high grade undifferentiated sarcoma with areas of well-differentiated and myxoid liposarcoma. MRI demonstrated a lobulated, septated intermuscular mass with marked heterogeneous gadolinium enhancement. A small focus of the tumor demonstrated fat suppressed signal more characteristic of well-differentiated liposarcoma. Patholo...
متن کاملGiant gastric lipoma mimicking well-differentiated liposarcoma
Authors report the case of a 51-year-old man, presenting with epigastralgia of recent onset. Physical exam was unremarkable. Endoscopy revealed a large, ulcerated, submucosal, antral tumor. CT scan reveals an antral mass with fat attenuation. The patient underwent a total gastrectomy. Macroscopic examination identified in the antral wall a 9-cm, well-circumscribed, nodular lesion, with a yellow...
متن کاملWell-differentiated liposarcoma associated with benign lipoma.
The objective of this study was to review the clinicopathological features of seven patients presenting with well-differentiated liposarcoma (WDL), which was associated with subcutaneous lipoma. From 1980 through 2002, 34 individuals displaying WDL were treated in our institutions. Lipoma was observed in seven of these 34 patients (five men and two women, mean age of 66.7 years). The rate of co...
متن کاملEsophageal liposarcoma: Well-differentiated rhabdomyomatous type
Rhabdomyomatous well-differentiated esophageal liposarcomas are extremely rare. As of August 2016, only one other such case has been reported in the English-language medical literature. Liposarcomas in general are one of the most common soft tissue neoplasms in adults, but the incidence of primary esophageal liposarcomas is exceptionally low. There have been only 42 reported cases of primary li...
